One of the most common questions we get from customers is how they can use their swag once they have printed it and we have received it in our fulfillment center. To best answer this question and provide some real examples and use cases of have how customers utilize their swag we decided to do a 4-part blog series. In this series we will go into detail explaining the different ways you can place orders thru the Printfection platform and provide some examples of when you could use each campaign type.
Ways to use merchandise in Printfection:
There are 3 different was you can use your merchandise in the Printfection platform. Below is a high-level description of each way you can manage your swag.
Drop Ship Orders: Drop shipping is a common term in the promotional product business used to reference the direct printing and shipment of merchandise. With Printfection’s Drop Ship Order feature you can either print new merchandise or can pull current inventory of your merchandise and have it shipped to a destination of your choice. The main two ways customers use Drop Ship orders are: 1) for sending merchandise to events and 2) shipping a large order of merchandise to a specific location such as an office.
Giveaway Campaigns: Giveaway campaigns are campaigns in which you provide a URL to your recipients and have them select the items they want to receive and enter their own shipping information and order details (such as the size of apparel they want). You can either run a Social Giveaway in which you set the number of redemptions you want to have fulfilled or can run a Private Giveaway in which you provide a unique one-time use URL to each individual recipient you want to give swag to. Two common use cases are 1) sending a customer a ‘Thank You’ gift because you want to reward them for taking a specific action such as completing a survey or providing a product review. The second most common use case is when you want to use swag and give someone a gift in order to incentivize the recipient to take action: for example if the recipient downloads your app you will give them a free shirt.
Collection Campaigns: Collection campaigns are used when you know the order details for the recipients you want to send swag to and need to upload the order info to send out the swag. Most often you already have the order information (address, name, apparel size, etc.) in another system and need to get it into Printfection. A few examples of when customers would use a Collection campaigns are for placing orders collected from a Shopify store or if you store and manage customer or prospect information in Salesforce and want to place bulk orders for those customers/prospects.
