Industry: Healthcare
Company Size: Approximately 300 employees
Use Case: Employee events, branded merchandise, employee appreciation
Partnership Overview
Employee events give the teams behind Virta Health’s mission a reason to celebrate, and swag is a big part of the party.
But according to Morgan Robbins, Associate Director of Virta Health’s coaching team, there’s a lot of prep that goes into a seamless swag drop.
With roughly 300 employees attending its All Team Summit, everything from product selection and sizing to shipping can quickly become another logistical project.
When Morgan was tasked with conference swag duty, she wanted a process she could manage on her own time since her schedule is typically packed with meetings. Swag.com allows her to browse products and submit orders at her convenience.
“I like having the ability to handle it all on my own, but also have someone who can quickly answer questions,” she says.
That combination of self-service and responsive support was critical as Virta’s event logistics became more complex. After Swag.com provided the right balance, Morgan says she returned to place another order for the next show.
Choosing Swag Employees Will Keep
For Morgan, choosing the right swag is about giving employees something they genuinely want.
“No one wants junk, and you don’t want people to associate cheap swag with your company,” she says.
Instead, she gravitates toward recognizable brands she knows employees will appreciate, such as Marine Layer and JanSport.
At the same time, she needs to make choices that work within Virta’s event budget. She says Swag.com’s range of products and price points made that easier.
“There were super affordable options all the way into luxury backpacks,” she says, adding that she has still found quality options on Swag.com even when her budget was more limited.

One Event, Two Fulfillment Strategies
For one recent event, Virta needed to send swag to two different groups: employees attending the retreat in person and employees who wouldn’t be there.
The onsite swag arrived directly at the hotel hosting the event, while swag for non-attendees was drop-shipped to individual employees.
That meant moving from one destination to multiple addresses—a process Morgan hadn’t previously executed. She says her customer success manager helped her seamlessly work through logistics and answer questions along the way.
“It was great having someone to walk me through that part who responded almost instantaneously,” Morgan explains.
More Than Merchandise: A Token of Appreciation
Virta’s health coaches are the frontline employees who support members every day. For Morgan, giving them something at the company’s retreat is a small but meaningful way to recognize their work.
The coaches work virtually and don’t typically interact with members in person, so branded apparel isn’t an everyday part of their work. But when employees attend a Virta-branded event, Morgan says wearing the logo creates a shared sense of identity.
“I think it’s really important to give them a token of appreciation and something that will make them smile,” she says.
