Swag.com CEO Jeremy Parker Shares Tips for Making Remote Work Engaging on the TalentCulture Podcast

As we’ve learned in the past year, it can be hard to remain connected with your team while working remotely. Jeremy Parker, CEO and co-founder at Swag.com, joined an episode of the TalentCulture #WorkTrends podcast with advice for keeping remote employees engaged.

In the episode, Jeremy and host Meghan Biro discuss ideas to “freshen up remote culture for work and play.” Positive company culture begins with hiring the right employees, based on the company vision. A memorable onboarding process kickstarts their enthusiasm and makes everyone feel welcome right away.

Beyond the first day, managers can keep their remote team inspired and connected with fresh takes on virtual events and satellite office meetups with team members nearby. And of course — sending your team awesome company swag always helps!

“If you see somebody wearing a shirt representing your favorite sports team or college, you have an instant connection. It’s the same thing within a company,” Jeremy says. “If you’re wearing the same things, it brings people together around a shared purpose and mission.”
