Each year, The PPAI Expo brings together thousands of promotional product professionals together to collaborate and learn about the latest products, technologies and trends. So of course, we had to go scope out what the pros are anticipating the newest, hottest swag trends to be this year.
Here are four trends in swag we noticed at PPAI last week:
Neutral Colors
When it comes to colors at PPAI this year, we noticed many brands going for more neutral and earth-toned colors than we have seen in the past. Especially when it comes to home products and clothing, organic feeling colors are very in.
As we will get into later in the blog, sustainability in the promotion products world is huge right now, and colors that reflect sustainability and feel organic go hand in hand with ethically sourced materials, so this color trend makes lots of sense.
Pops of Color
While many companies are clearly leaning towards subtle, neutral and earth-toned colors for their products this year, others are resorting to bright pops of color.
Basics like office supplies, water bottles and smaller accessories seem to be the products that are taking to the more colorful and bright looks.
Housewares as swag
Sleek home appliances are in more now than ever before. Since the rise of the Stanley tumblers, aesthetically coordinated tumblers, appliances and all around home pieces have become much more in sync. When it comes house wear in general, we are seeing many more of those earthy, neutral tones – colors that can easily blend in with a home. Fewer home products are bright and colorful like we are seeing with daily accessories.
More Sustainable Products
Let’s be honest, sustainability is not just a trend that we are seeing this year. People and brands have been consistently putting more and more effort into making their businesses sustainable in all different ways. From using recycled products to products sourced ethically, it is important in the promotional products industry to be producing products that are helping the world in one way or another.
